Meet Stasia Jackson: Our New Community Health Nurse for Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, and Manawatū
We are thrilled to welcome Stasia Jackson to the Hepatitis Foundation of New Zealand whānau as our new Community Health Nurse covering Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, and Manawatū.
Stasia steps into this vital role following the well-earned retirement of Lynnaire Matthews, who dedicated many years to providing exceptional, compassionate care and service to our communities. We are deeply grateful to Lynnaire for her incredible contribution, and we are confident Stasia will continue this strong legacy of care.
A Registered Nurse since 2011, Stasia brings a wealth of experience in community nursing, leadership, and clinical assessment. Her career includes extensive work with the Cancer Society, New Zealand Police (where she notably managed Hepatitis B immunity confirmations for frontline recruits), Wellington Free Ambulance, and various community health organisations across the greater Wellington region.
Passionate about community healthcare, Stasia believes that entering a patient’s home is a privilege. Her approach focuses on reducing barriers and power imbalances while delivering the same high level of care she would expect for her own whānau.
Please join us in giving Stasia a warm welcome as she hits the road to support our communities across Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, and Manawatū!
If you'd like to reach out to Stasia she can be reached by email.
